| About The Southern Illinois Camp for Burned Children: The burn camp is located at the Touch of Nature facilities south of Carbondale Illinois. The camp is a week long for burn survivors between the ages of 8-18 and has no cost to the camper. This camp serves Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, and Indiana. The Southern Illinois Camp for Burned Children is a non-profit organization with 501c3 tax deductible status. Our organization consists of volunteers from all walks of life, fire fighters, doctors, teachers, lawyers, managers, clerks, housewives, clergy, paramedics and more. We are sponsored in part by the United Way, Southern Illinois Health Care, corporate, and individual contributions. The burn camp is an annual event begun to give burned children the opportunity to experience a week of activities, have fun, learn, relax, and form friendships that last a lifetime. |
